I love a rainy day

There is something about a rainy day that draws me outside. The smell of the wet earth is intoxicating. Colours glow against the steel grey sky. Rain drops glimmer like jewels as they hang from petals or snuggle together and watch the storm.

Then the sun shines and everything changes again.

These were shot in Kilworthy, Ontario and are part of my Modern Botanicals series of photographs, drawings and paintings which will be unveiled in part at the Bumbleberry Cafe in Peterborough early this spring.
